EPLegal are pleased to announce that our Managing Partner, Mrs. Annie Ngo, had the honor of being invited to attend the workshop “Petroleum Law 2022 and Practical Application”. This event was organised by the Petroleum Exploration and Exploitation Corporation (“PVEP”) on 22 December 2023, at Ninh Binh Legend Hotel & Convention Center.
It was a special event that garnered significant attention from petroleum experts, as well as leaders and staff from PVEP, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (“PVN”), the Cuu Long Joint Operating Company (“Cuu Long JOC”), the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and others.
Opening the program, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh – Head of Bidding Management & Legal Department – PVEP, delivered a general overview of the impact of the Petroleum Law 2022 on PVEP and introduced the objectives of the workshop. Following the program, the leadership and experts of PVEP, along with program guests, engaged in lively discussions, analysing noteworthy issues related to the Petroleum Law 2022 and Decree 45/2023/NĐ-CP. They also listened to concerns regarding the implementation of projects, contract signing, or termination of petroleum contracts. Valuable opinions from various departments and companies with different functions and responsibilities contributed to creating a vibrant atmosphere for the program and provided participants with a multifaceted view of the field.
After the presentations, discussions, and Q&A sessions, to conclude the program, Mr. Tran Thanh Tung, Deputy Head of the Department of Oil and Coal, spoke on behalf of the leadership of the Department of Oil and Coal, Ministry of Industry and Trade. He provided guidance to help participants clearly define their tasks and objectives.
In the role of the guest speaker, our managing lawyer also presented several viewpoints to contribute to resolving legal challenges in the current petroleum law.
